Chief Sealth International High School is located in western Seattle. We field boys' and girls' wrestling teams comprised of students from the White Center, South Park, Highland Park, and Delridge neighborhoods. Our motto is, "Wrestling makes you better. At everything." Not too many experiences can make you feel as confident and humble, courageous and cautious, or as tough and compassionate as wrestling does! We take good young people and help them to become confident and humble, courageous and cautious, and tough and compassionate adults who have learned some wrestling along the way.
We also believe in competing. Both of our teams are competitive, consistently placing in the top 5 of each tournament they wrestle.. In 2023-24, our boys finished 18th at the state tournament and our girls were 33rd. We had two wrestlers earn all-state honors, with Micah Policarpio placing 6th and Sophia Andreini placing 2nd. Of the six wrestlers in Seattle Public Schools history to make it to the state finals in wrestling, four of them were Seahawks, including State Champion Jahvius Leui - 285lbs, and the only two girls to have done so, Delaney Graves - 140lbs and Sophia Andreini - 125 lbs.
