Chief Sealth International High School is located in western Seattle. We field boys' and girls' wrestling teams comprised of students from the White Center, South Park, Highland Park, and Delridge neighborhoods. Our motto is, "Wrestling makes you better. At everything." Not too many experiences can make you feel as confident and humble, courageous and cautious, or as tough and compassionate as wrestling does! We take good young people and help them to become confident and humble, courageous and cautious, and tough and compassionate adults who have learned some wrestling along the way.
We also believe in competing. Both of our teams are competitive, consistently placing in the top 5 of each tournament they wrestle.. In 2024-25, our boys finished 8th at the state tournament and our girls were 18th. We had seven wrestlers earn all-state honors:
Girls:
Lucy Self - 3rd
Lanu Amituani - 5th
Boys:
Micah Policarpio - 2nd
Xavier Nguyen- 3rd
Eli Policarpio - 5th
Alex Pando - 7th
Xander Gomez - 8th
Micah became the seventh wrestler in Seattle Public Schools history to make it to the state finals in wrestling. Of those seven, five were Seahawks, including Micah, State Champion Jahvius Leui - 285lbs, and Dayne Camacho - 220 lbs. Chief Sealth also has the only two girls to have made the state finals from a Seattle public school: Delaney Graves - 140lbs and Sophia Andreini - 125 lbs.
Chief Sealth boys set a Metro Conference record, placing 8th overall at State, and the Chief Sealth girls once again place in the top 20, placing 18th overall!
The White Center Warriors are back!
Come join our USA Wrestling Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling club. We coach wrestlers of all abilities from ages 5 - 18.
Practices are at Chief Sealth High School.
