Chief Sealth International High School is located in western Seattle. We field boys' and girls' wrestling teams comprised of students from the White Center, South Park, Highland Park, and Delridge neighborhoods. Our motto is, "Wrestling makes you better. At everything." Not too many experiences can make you feel as confident and humble, courageous and cautious, or as tough and compassionate as wrestling does! We take good young people and help them to become confident and humble, courageous and cautious, and tough and compassionate adults who have learned some wrestling along the way.
We also believe in competing. Both of our teams are competitive, consistently placing in the top 5 of each tournament they wrestle.. Last season (2022-23, our girls finished 10th at the state tournament and our boys finished 19th, with three girls and two boys earning all-state honors. The girls' 10th was the highest state place for any school in conference history. Chief Sealth also become the first school in the conference to have a top 10 and top 20 state finish for its boys' and girls' teams. And of the five wrestlers in Seattle Public Schools history to make it to the state finals in wrestling, three of them were Seahawks, including State Champion Jahvius Leui - 285lb, and the only girl to have done so, Delaney Graves - 140lb.
